In its latest issue, the New Zealand Genealogy Journal shines a spotlight on Secrets of the Land. For those with Irish roots, Kate's novel is particularly of interest, as it shows how understanding what happened on land in the past can unlock deeper connections to family history of Irish immigrants to New Zealand in the 1860s and beyond.
